Private Lessons
WVS offers some of the most advanced vocal instruction in the US. Our singing lessons are based on Vocal Integration, with work on vocal coordination, musicianship and the songs you want to perform.
Singing
Your lesson begins with a question about the voice or music and a review of your practice. Guided vocal exercises lead into imitation or coordination work, then the song itself. You sing with an accompaniment track while your teacher listens and makes notes; together, you revisit phrases or try an adjustment to the full performance.
You leave with assignments for daily check-ins, longer practice and asynchronous coaching. More advanced students also sing and play patterns, melodies or their own accompaniment.

Instrument and theory study moves from patterned exercises and written homework into your pieces. Songwriting sessions develop lyrics, theory or composition through exercises and review of your own work.
Advanced writers also work on tracks, arranging and orchestration on their computer.
